AARON R. WINTERS

Aaron's areas of practice include representing businesses and individuals, both plaintiffs and defendants, in complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts.

 

Aaron continues a focus on entertainment litigation, including but not limited to, litigating copyright and trademark violations, and name, image, and likeness claims under the ELVIS Act. Aaron has resolved numerous disputes involving the protection of intellectual property rights, partnerships, LLCs, closely held corporations, trusts, real estate, and construction matters.

Aaron remains a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and has participated in briefing in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville, Tennessee.

Originally from east-central Indiana, Aaron attended Miami University of Ohio and Belmont University before obtaining his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law.

 

Since moving to Nashville in 2003 to pursue a career in music, Aaron has released four studio albums and has performed at numerous festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Hangout Fest, Wakarusa, and CMJ Fest. Aaron's songs have been featured in multiple movies and television shows.

 

While producing his studio albums, Aaron collaborated with the likes of Jay Graydon (guitar soloist for Steely Dan's "Peg" and penner of "Turn Your Love Around" and "After the Love Has Gone"); John ("J.R.") Robinson (drummer on Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall" and "Rock with You"); and Jerry Hey (arranger for "Thriller," "Rock with You," "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough," and "Workin' Day and Night").

When not litigating, songwriting, or performing on stage, Aaron enjoys boating, fly fishing, spending time with his daughter, Romy, and following Nashville SC and the Indiana Pacers.
